Stepping Up for Vista: North County Ford Donates 100 Pairs of Shoes to Families in Need
At North County Ford, we believe that being a part of the community means more than just serving it—it means walking alongside it, lifting it up, and giving back whenever we can. That’s why we were incredibly proud to team up with the MAC 1965 Project and Vista’s very own Deputy Mayor Katie Melendez. for a heartfelt mission: donating 100 pairs of shoes to local families in need right here in Vista, and across San Diego’s North County.
This initiative was about so much more than just footwear—it was about restoring dignity, spreading hope, and reminding our neighbors in Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, and beyond that they’re seen, supported, and valued by their community.
Our General Manager, Frank Pierce, didn’t just oversee the donation—he was on the ground, making a difference. With a car full of boxes and a heart full of purpose, Frank teamed up with the MAC Foundation to personally deliver the shoes to families throughout Vista. These weren’t just shoes; they were a powerful symbol of care, compassion, and the strength of our local communities coming together to make a real impact.
The MAC 1965 Project, a nonprofit dedicated to creating positive change and unity, continues to make waves across our region. Their work in supporting underserved youth and families resonates deeply with our values at North County Ford, making this partnership a natural fit. We’re proud to stand alongside them in their mission, helping those in need throughout Vista and San Diego.
Moments like this remind us of the core reason we do what we do—it’s not just about cars; it’s about connection. It’s about making a meaningful, lasting impact on the lives of the people who make up Vista and all of San Diego. Whether you're behind the wheel of a Ford or simply walking through the heart of Vista, we’re all in this together.
North County Ford is committed to continuing our efforts to give back to the communities we serve. From Vista to Oceanside, Carlsbad to Escondido, we’re here to lend a hand, offer support, and continue driving positive change. Together, we can keep moving our community forward—one step at a time.
Community, Cars & Connection: North County Ford x Grub and Cars Bring Vista Together
There’s something truly special about a Saturday morning in Vista—especially when it’s filled with the sound of engines, chrome shining in the sun, and a community coming together. This past weekend, North County Ford teamed up with local car meet organizers Grub and Cars to host a memorable event that not only celebrated the love of cars but also brought together the people of Vista and beyond in the best way possible.
The turnout? Bigger than we ever imagined!
What started as an idea to celebrate car culture in Vista and San Diego’s North County quickly turned into a full-blown community celebration. Our North County Ford lot was filled with a stunning variety of vehicles—from low riders and classic Fords to custom builds and jaw-dropping showstoppers. We saw everything from iconic Ford Mustangs to restored F-150s and the latest Ford trucks, drawing in car enthusiasts from all over Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, and even further into San Diego.
Trophies were handed out, local food trucks from Vista and surrounding areas kept the crowd fueled up, and the music set the perfect vibe for a day of shared passion and hometown pride.
Grub and Cars brought in some of the best automotive enthusiasts, while we worked to keep the energy high and the good times rolling. But what truly made this event special was the people—Vista locals and our neighboring communities like San Marcos and Escondido all coming together. Local businesses showcased their offerings, families strolled the lot with kids in tow, and neighbors caught up over engines, exhaust notes, and stories of classic Ford restorations.
At North County Ford, we’re more than just a dealership—we’re a part of the Vista and North County community. Events like this are a way for us to give back to the people who support us day in and day out. They give us a chance to celebrate the talent, creativity, and passion found right here in Vista and all over San Diego. We love opening our doors to Vista, not just as customers, but as friends, collaborators, and fellow car enthusiasts. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up and made the event unforgettable—the smiles, the conversations, the shared experiences. It reminded us why we do what we do and why we love being a part of the Vista community.
And the best part? We’re just getting started. Stay tuned for more exciting events like this in the near future. Whether you’re a Ford fanatic or just love cars, we can’t wait to bring more of Vista—and San Diego—together again. Stay tuned, we’re revving up for more!
Driving Toward the Future: North County Ford Joins the 2025 Vista High School College & Career Futures Fair
At North County Ford, we’re passionate about shaping the future—not only through our innovations in the automotive world but by investing in the next generation right here in Vista and all across San Diego County. That’s why our General Manager, Frank Pierce, and several of our dedicated team members packed up and made the short drive from our Vista dealership to participate in this year’s Vista High School College & Career Futures Fair.
This event, designed to introduce local students to a variety of career paths, was an incredible opportunity for us to meet with the bright young minds in Vista’s automotive program. Many of these students, some from right here in Vista, Oceanside, and San Marcos, will one day become the technicians, service advisors, and leaders that keep our industry moving forward—and we were excited to show them the endless possibilities waiting for them in the automotive world.
Frank and the team spent the day speaking directly with students about what it's really like to work in the automotive field. From sales and service to parts and management, we pulled back the curtain and gave these students an inside look at the wide variety of roles that exist within a dealership—roles that are right here in their own hometown of Vista and across the San Diego region. It’s not just about what’s happening on the lot today; it’s about the future of our community, and how local opportunities are paving the way for them to build careers and thrive in their own backyards.
For us, it wasn’t just about presenting job opportunities. It was about making connections. These students are the future of Vista, Escondido, Carlsbad, and other surrounding areas in North County San Diego. Many will go on to raise families here, build careers here, and become the heartbeat of our community. We want them to know that North County Ford is here for them—whether they’re taking their first steps into the workforce or looking for a long-term career in the automotive industry.
Moments like this remind us that the future isn’t some far-off idea. It’s sitting in a classroom at Vista High School, turning wrenches in the auto shop, asking questions, and dreaming big. And we’re honored to play a role in helping to guide those dreams and support these future leaders of Vista and beyond.
At North County Ford, we’re committed to investing in Vista’s youth and working side-by-side with our local schools and communities to create pathways for success. We believe that when the next generation succeeds, we all succeed. Because when Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, and San Marcos thrive, we all do. Together, we’re driving toward a brighter future!
North County Ford’s Monthly Community Outreach Program: Inspiring Future Automotive Professionals at Vista High School in Vista, CA!
At North County Ford, our commitment to giving back to the community continues to grow with every visit. As part of our ongoing initiative to engage with local schools, our team recently visited Vista High School, out of Vista, California, where General Manager Frank Pierce and Shop Foreman Micah Watters spent the day sharing their expertise with students.
Frank Pierce met with the business class, leading an engaging discussion about the automotive industry from a business perspective. He shared his personal career journey, discussed the various roles in a dealership, and provided real-world insights into the skills needed for a successful career in the industry. Frank’s goal was to inspire students to explore the many career paths available, whether in sales, management, or operations.
Meanwhile, Micah Watters led an impressive hands-on session with the automotive class, guiding students through a live diagnostic exercise. Micah shared his knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics, helping students understand how real-world automotive problems are identified and resolved. His interactive approach sparked interest and excitement, offering students a glimpse into what it’s like to work as a professional technician.
This visit was just the first of many to come in the Vista, CA area as part of our monthly outreach program. We believe that by fostering connections with local schools and providing mentorship, we can inspire the next generation of professionals and give them the tools to succeed. We’re looking forward to sharing even more experiences with students in the months ahead.
North County Ford is proud to be a part of the local community within Vista, and we can’t wait to share more experiences with you. Thank you for allowing North County Ford to be a part of the Vista, San Diego, and North San Diego community!
Celebrating Community at the Vista Strawberry Festival with North County Ford
At North County Ford, community isn’t just part of what we do — it’s at the heart of who we are. For over 30 years, Vista has been more than our home base; it’s been our inspiration, our partner, and the reason we show up every day with purpose. That’s why we were so proud to serve as a title sponsor of this year’s Vista Strawberry Festival, one of the city’s most cherished annual traditions.
A Sweet Celebration of Vista Spirit The Strawberry Festival is more than an event — it’s a celebration of Vista’s rich agricultural roots, vibrant culture, and the tight-knit community that makes this place so special. From live music and local vendors to delicious strawberry treats and fun activities for all ages, the festival brought thousands together in a joyful showcase of what makes Vista shine.
We were honored to be part of the festivities, bringing the North County Ford energy to life at our booth with free giveaways, swag bags, and over 30 complimentary oil changes gifted to members of the community. It’s our way of saying thank you — and keeping Vista moving forward.
Highlight: The Lil’ Miss Strawberry Shortcake Contest One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was taking part in the Lil’ Miss Strawberry Shortcake Contest. As judges, we were blown away by the confidence, creativity, and charm of the young contestants. We handed out fun gifts to every participant, celebrating the next generation of Vista with plenty of smiles and encouragement. Seeing the community come together — families, friends, and neighbors — reminded us why we’ve supported this event for so many years. The laughter, music, and shared moments are what it’s all about.
More Than a Day — A Year-Round Commitment While the festival may only happen once a year, our commitment to Vista is year-round. From youth programs and school support to charitable donations and community outreach, North County Ford is here to uplift and invest in the people who make this city great.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, said hello, or simply enjoyed the day with us. It’s always a privilege to connect with the community face-to-face and be part of the memories that make Vista such a special place to live and work.
Thank you, Vista, for allowing us to be part of your story. We look forward to many more years of giving back, building up, and driving forward — together. — Your Friends at North County Ford
North County Ford Honored with City of Vista Proclamation for 30+ Years of Community Impact
We’re thrilled to announce a milestone that means the world to us — North County Ford has been officially recognized by the City of Vista with a Proclamation Award, celebrating over 30 years of dedicated service, partnership, and community involvement.
This honor is more than a plaque or a ceremony — it’s a reflection of our deep-rooted connection to the city of Vista, a place we proudly call home. More Than a Dealership — A Community Partner Since the very beginning, Vista has been at the heart of everything we do. North County Ford Drives Change: 2,226 Pounds Collected for Feeding San Diego
At North County Ford, we believe our role in the community goes far beyond helping you find your next dream car. It’s about showing up, giving back, and driving real change. Recently, we had the privilege of partnering with Feeding San Diego for a food drive—and thanks to the incredible support from our community, we collected 2,226 pounds of food for families in need.
This campaign was a true team effort. From Offroad Warehouse to Food4Less, to local small businesses and countless individuals who donated—San Diego showed up in a big way. Together, we packed an F-150 full of food, proving once again that when our community rallies, amazing things happen.
Our General Manager, Frank, along with several team members, personally delivered every box to the Feeding San Diego warehouse. Unloading the truck was nothing short of a blast—box after box filled with hope, generosity, and compassion.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed. This effort reminded us of the bigger picture: that being part of a community means lifting each other up.
At North County Ford, we’re proud to be more than a dealership—we’re your neighbors, your partners, and your biggest fans when it comes to building a better tomorrow.
Thank you, San Diego. Here’s to driving change—one pound at a time.
North County Ford: Investing in Vista’s Future
For more than 30 years, North County Ford has proudly given back to Vista High School and the City of Vista. Our commitment goes far beyond selling vehicles it’s about supporting the community that has supported us for decades.
One way we give back is through our General Manager, Frank, who regularly visits Vista High School to speak with students about their future. In economics classrooms, he shares how a dealership operates showing how sales, service, finance, and parts all come together as one business. More importantly, he encourages students to think about the many opportunities available to them, whether in the automotive trade or other career paths
Frank believes that strong communities start with our youth. By taking time to invest in the next generation, we can help grow a brighter and stronger future for Vista. His talks are about more than cars they’re about giving knowledge, guidance, and real-world perspective to students who are preparing to enter the workforce.
At North County Ford, we’re proud to stand with Vista. Every classroom visit, every local effort, and every conversation with a student reflects our belief that giving back one day, one effort at a time makes all the difference.
